I made this pudding to go with a flourless chocolate cake to make "Chocolate Lovin' Spoon Cake" it's a Sweet Street cake, my boyfriend grew up in a fancy restaurant and loves this cake. He begged me to come up with a similar recipe so I thickened up this pudding using a little more cornstarch and more cocoa for a richer effect. The pudding is really rich and thick, hopefully they will come close.

Awesomely easy and delicious! Store bought pudding is a thing of the past now! sadly...the pretzels didn't make it to the pudding..they was so delicious. Guess I'll have to make more when the pudding is chilled

Fabulous recipe even without the pretzels! To change things up occasionally, substitute dark chocolate/mint chips or peanut butter chips anytime, very yummy.

This was so easy to make and it is simply delicious! A chocolate lover's dream...I couldn't wait for it to cool before I ate mine, it was like falling into a beautiful blanket of chocolate! Definitely a "saver" recipe!

This was so easy to make.. As long as you follow the direction it should turn out wonderful! I love chocolate and have to say this was the best chocolate pudding I have had.. Forget Jello in the box when it comes to having chocolate pudding just make it yourself. It was fast and easy and tastes so so good! If you don't want the pretzels on top then just top it off with a spoonful of cool whip to top it off!

I was excited to try this recipe, and had everything for the pudding on hand, though I didn't have pretzels, so I skipped that part.
I added a little salt and about 1/4 tsp vanilla extract to the pudding, and then followed the recipe as written.
It is WAY too sweet, and I wish I hadn't added the chocolate chips.
I just can't eat it, I'm going to have to put it down the drain, which I really dislike doing.
The texture is also cloying on my tongue.
    Sorry Sunny!

This pudding was tasty! A few cautions: Keep an eye on the pretzels while they cook. Ten minutes was much too long in my oven. Also, make sure you DO NOT top the pudding with the pretzels and put it in to set. Only top the pudding after it has set, otherwise the pretzels will be soggy. An easy, quick dessert!

Well, I made this recipe but I added my own little twist. I threw in some vanilla and peppermint extracts. The pudding tasted just like a peppermint patty. It was delicious! I've got some other modifications in mind I'm going to try out once I get more cocoa powder from the grocery store.
