This was the best stovetop mac and cheese. As one reviewer pointed out, it makes a lot so you can try cutting the recipe in half. I freeze any leftovers so that I can go to the freezer and pull it out anytime I want mac and cheese.

Loved the recipe, but it makes a lot, so cut it in half if you are making it for 2-3 people. We made deep fried mac n cheese bites with the leftovers the next day and they were fantastic!

Very tasty! Made this on the fly, didn't have time to bake a dish and didn't have colby jack or sharp cheddar on hand, so I used Mexican blend. Turned out great and the kids loved it. Love it when that happens, this is a keeper!

I have been looking everywhere for a FLAVORFUL, simple mac and cheese. because I was skeptical I added 1 cup of gruyere and a teaspoon of dijon mustard. Doesn't need either. As long as you use EXTRA sharp cheddar (DON'T buy the bags-grate it fresh you won't have any problem.
The ONLY complaint I have with this recipe is because of all the cheese and butter it binds when it cools making scooping out a serving for re-heating tough. If you have leftovers, separate them into individual servings then store in the fridge. I added a couple tablespoons of milk and after a little stirring to reincorporate everything it was great reheated!
    Thanks Sunny!

YUM!!! This was a BIG HIT in our house. Definitely won't be making the box mac and cheese any more.

I had never seen this show before but I stopped on it. The host was so very adorable and being a mom of 3 wonderful boys with appetities true to the sterotype, I thought this dish looked like something they would enjoy! I am not a girl who follows recipes, (I believe I get that from my grandma but I did follow this one to the letter. My family really enjoyed it. I will make this again with a few alterations but that is just my nature. I look forward to trying another dish from the show. My thanks! My kids have full belly's, leftovers are in the fridge, easy clean up and an we can all get some sleep earlier tonight that usual. Yeah! The leftovers will be a perfect after school snack for my teens.

This mac and cheese was absolutely awesome! and it's a stove top recipe versus a baked casserole!

This was awesome!! I loved it. The onions gave it so much flavor. It was so creamy. A plus for Sunny and this great recipe....will definitely make this again and again.

I made this for my brother and we both love mac and cheese and my kitchen was hinted for days of the onion aroma (a good thing The onions really make this dish and you have to followi it to the tee. DO NOT MAKE SUBSTITUTIONS. I loved every cheesy bite and he swore I was the best sister ever! The ONLY thing I did not like was that this is an immediate and one day only dish. To reheat this the next day bumed me out, but oh well it was well worth it.

Not the creamy mac and cheese it appeared to be on TV. I followed the recipe exactly expect for using wheels rather than shells. The cheese just got clumpy and stuck to the spoon rather than melting nicely and the sauce wasnt very thick. Not much flavor either. Wont be making this again.
