I am in love with your pan gravy and brine mixtures! This year was my first attempt at using brine three days before actually cooking the bird. It was a perfect mixture to enhance the flavor of the seasoning I decided to use for the turkey. Your tip to pour on olive oil really made the rub stick well as I left the dressed turkey in the fridge overnight with the spice. I also left the bird out on the counter for two hours before putting it into the oven, which I think made it cook faster. And that gravy! Oh how delicious it was with the Riesling. Thanks, girl!

This was my first time making Turkey, and it was delicious! I cooked a 12 lb turkey for 4 ppl, and it was all gone! When I carved the first slice, juice poured out. It was so juicy and not too salty. The gravy was also delicious and easy. I used chicken broth as well b/c I couldn't find Turkey broth. Thanks!

OH EM GEE!! Absolutely perfect! Each year I try different recipes from different chef's on how they make their turkey but this recipe I made from Sunny was THEE BEST! And the gravy! oh man, the gravy was absolutely delicious. It probaly would have been beyond delicious had i been able to use turkey broth but i couldnt find any so i used chicken broth instead. My whole family enjoyed the turkey and gravy so much til there was none left over! I recommend anyone to try this recipe. Trust me, you'd be proud of your choice in recipe and as well as yourself such as I did!!

Tip on finding something to brine your turkey in. I found that the 3XL Ziplock bags are perfect. They're thick enough and adequately hold the turkey and liquids. I place the filled bag in the roasting pan and place in the frig until ready to drain and prepare for roasting.

Ms. Anderson I am please to tell you and your father that the brine worked great and the taste is sooooooo wonderful full of flavor when I took the turkey out of the oven I taste a piece of it. I thought I was in heaven I stood there and was going to eat it by myself but I had to think of the family in the morning.Oh by the way it was about 8 something at night when i took it out of the oven. Just wanted to give you 10 fingers up sooo gooood again. Thanks and Happy Thanksgiving Day.

I have never made a turkey before... EVER.. after watching this episode last year, (2010 I decided I would take my turn at making the turkey. I got rave reviews! Everyone stating it was the best turkey we had ever had. I had some difficulty with the pan gravy and had to call my mother in for some doctoring for it to thicken. And I made a 22# turkey... so I didn't have a bowl or anything big enough to keep it in... SOOO... I put everything in an Oven bag for the brining sealed it twice with a twist tie and a rubber band and put it in a cooler for its brine bath. I am making it again this year! (HOPE TO GET A GIANT ECONOMY SIZED POT for xmas to help out in the future!

Ok, Thanksgiving 2010 was the first time I tried this brining method. Everyone agreed that this was the best turkey they ever had. I didn't do the rub because I deep fried my turkey after taking it out the brine and patting it dry. The flavor was all the way through the meat. Can't wait to do it again in two weeks. A Thanksgiving staple now.
