I made this for my family the other night and I wish I had come on to read the reviews first - it is a good base, but you will DEFINITELY want to add to it. On its own (if you follow the instructions to the letter as I did it is really rather bland. And I agree with the reviewer that said the sauce tasted more like a pasta sauce. It didn't do it for me, but I will make it again, and add green chilies, possibly adobo and chorizo, just something to kick it up a little bit.

It is a wonderful recipe. I can see taking this to a church function. I had a little trouble following the recipe due to the way it was written. More succinct instructions would help clarify any confusing points. There js no mention of what size dish and I had to look at similar recipes to discover it was 9x13.

This is a great dish. A nice variation from traditional lasagne. I've made it for home and for a church supper and it was a big hit both times.

I am not sure if I used the correct spanish spices or what, but this was not a hit with our family. Too much cumin and too many tortillas. Sorry, I won't be trying this one again.

I put my own little spin on it with the spices and we loved it, I also made it with shredded chicken, it is a 5 out of 5 in my house. Sunny is my favorite cook on the Food Network.

Good but less cumin and add chicken bouillon to sauce and beef for flavor

I couldn't find Sazon seasoning and used taco seasoning instead. It worked out nicely. I added lots of jalepenos for a little kick. This dish took a while to make, but you can make it ahead of time and pop into the oven when needed.

I made this as enchiladas instead of a casserole, still great! Also, if you don't have a packet of Sazon seasoning you can use this recipe: 1/4 tsp Salt,1/4 tsp Garlic Powder,1/4 tsp Cumin, 1/4 tsp Coriander, 1/4 tsp Annatto (use paprika, if you don't have annatto. I put about 3/4 cup of sauce on the bottom of the dish, rolled up 3 TBSP of meat and cheese and some more sauce in each tortilla, covered with the rest of the sauce and cheese, baked 20 minutes!
