I just tried the salmon pie and it was good except I think I may have overdone it on the thyme, my mistake, I forgot that dried thyme is a lot stronger then fresh, all in all a good dish but boy, did I make a mess,

Try not to get the pastry wet with the spinach mixture or any excess liquids b/c it will fall apart. Mine were not pretty but otherwise yummy.

Great recipe, my family loved it and the salmon was very succulent. I would just double the mushroom filling so I can have a lot more next time because it didn't completely fill the pastry

Wow. These were SO delicious!!! This recipe seemed intimidating at first because I am a brand new cook, but it was actually fairly easy to make and it turned out perfect. My husband, who is not a big fish fan, loved it. I would recommend this recipe to everyone! Oh and I thought it was silly to spend $11.99/lb for fresh shitake mushrooms, so I bought a can for $1.29 and it worked great!

I enjoyed this dish! I wanted to try something new and my girlfriend, kids and their grandfather loved it! It was very tasty! The thing that I did different was that I seasoned my salmon with salmon rub (McCormick, I did not use any mushrooms, and I added corn....very tasty dish!

This recipe was a BIG disappointment! The taste was very bland except for the overpowering onion taste. The prep time was too long and it was a huge cleanup afterwards. We ended up digging out the salmon and just eating it. It was also an expensive dish to make. Not worth the trouble or cost.

Made this last night for my hubby as our "Date Night" dinner and he loved it. I substituted the pastry sheets w/pie dough and sour cream w/whipping cream and a lil' butter since I couldn't run to the market but it all worked out, not as pretty as Sunny's but practice makes perfect, right? I look forward to making this again with all the right ingredients and making it look Food Network pretty, Thank you Sunny!
