I made this cake for Thanksgiving and it was AMAZING! I used a regular cream cheese frosting instead (2 sticks butter, 2 8oz packs of cream cheese and 1.5 pounds of powder sugar with the pecans on the side and it turned out so good that it was gone in 4 days!! Super moist, fluffy, and perfectly balanced! I loved this recipe :- Cooking time could vary. I only cooked mine for 20-24 mins. just keep an eye on it!

VERY TASTY, THE ONLY THING I DID DIFFERENT WAS THE FROSTING. I USED BUTTERMILK INSTEAD OF THE MILK, I REMINDED ME OF A CARMEL FROSTING LIKE THE GERMAN CHOCOLATE FROSTING EXCEPT WITH OUT THE COCONUT. MY FAMILY JUST LOVED IT. WILL MAKE IT AGAIN FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS. I ALREADY MADE IT FOR MY DAUGHTERS BIRTHDAY.

Very good recipe for red velvet cake. It comes out moist and delicious. I make it in 2 8" pans and bake for about 30 min. I prefer to make it with cream cheese frosting.

The cake was good. It was the best cake that I have ever made. It was moist and delicious. The frosting however, was not good. I didn't like the frosting at all, way too sweet for my taste. I will definitely make this cake again, but with MY cream cheese frosting.
