My family loved this recipe. We are an southern family aswell and wasn't used to anything other than collard greens. This kale recipe is a keeper. I've made double batches twice now and they were a hit each time. We absolutely love them!

AT first I didn't get it - the great reviews for this recipe. However after my THIRD bowl of these greens I got it. I'm a southern girl and collards were always the greens of choice. This kale recipe is extremely easy to make, simple, and very comforting. I first thought the coconut milk would be an odd addition but I stayed dedicated to the recipe in whole. I enjoyed my first bowl and thought, well it's good but certainly not the best. The next two bowls were fantastic as well. I get that this recipe's popularity is in its simplicity with the ingredients not smothering the kale but accentuating the flavor. I did a light sprinkle of white wine vinegar in each bowl - fantastic.
Good job Sunny! Kale is my new favorite green vege.

I was fortunate enough to have attended a demonstration recently where Sunny made this exact dish. At the demo there was a swap out but I was fortunate enough to taste some from the pan she actually cooked fresh. Man it was good. This is definitely something I will add to my collection of veggies to cook at home.

Oh and if you ever get to see Sunny in person, do not think twice. It was an amazing experience; she is one of the coolest people you will ever meet. Double threat great food and personable. You can't beat that.

I love callaloo but find it hard to fine taro leaves and I really wouldn't know how to prepare it right anyway. Kale is a great substitute and mimics the taste of taro in this recipe. Next time I will add shrimp like the filipino dish. Great as usual Sunny.

I love kale & saw Sunny do this and thought "what a great idea", and it was! different and tasty, give it a try. I did it just as written and it was great, I may add some heat to it next time.

I was looking for a way to introduce my children to Kale and happened upon this recipe on Foodnetwork.com. I made it, with no deviations, and it was absolutely delicious !!! There were no leftovers. I will make this as often as I can....

    Thanks Sunny !
