Who would have thought Sunny Anderson's cheesecake is better than Emeril's and Tyler's! I make a cheesecake whenever we have dinner guests because it seems to be everyone's favourite and it's always made ahead of time. This was the perfect one, my expectations weren't too high, but I wanted to try a new recipe and I've made most of the classic cheesecakes on here. This one is perfect with no water in the oven it still raised perfectly without splitting and the sour cream on top looks nice and makes this one have the most classic cheesecake flavour. My springform pan was filled to the top after topping with the sour cream and I was afraid it would collapse or crack, it didn't! This simply looks the nicest and the texture and flavour are the best easy 5 stars!

Whatever you do, do NOT listen to lillie she has no idea what she is talking about. I love hearing your stories and about you. It makes you more real and not a cooking diva. Look at her review she types to much. All of your recipes are so good I cannot wait to try this. thanks for all the great recipes.

I really enjoy your stories about your childhood, relatives, experiences, etc. That's what sets you apart from the rest. Keep up the good work and we'll keep watching and listening....stories and all!
BTW--Can't wait to try that cheesecake recipe. The sour cream topping was NEW to me....maybe that means I'm not that old---lol.

I agree with Lillie's comment(from Rochester Hills . This recipe is fabulous and easy but is far from new. My grandmother made this exact recipe (including the sour cream top for over 40 years that I can remember. I still make this cheesecake and highly recommend it.

Sunny, I'm newly registered so I have a lot of "built up" things to say regarding a lot of the shows because I am a fan of the foodnetwork. Today, 5/2/09 your show featured this cheesecake which sounds delicious (I will try it. The topping of sour cream you commented on several times was unsettling for me because it's not "brand new". I'm much older than you so you may not know that that sour cream topping WAS the topping most cheesecakes had on them many, many years ago BEFORE all the berries were placed on top. I just wanted to pass this info on to you. Thanks for a great show, though. Stop talking so much though. It's much less chatter than when your show began, but it sometimes can still be TOO much, It sounds like nervous chatter and laughter. You're a PRO now, girl. Settle in an do your thing,,,on to the Neelys. (LOL
