these mini pies are defiantly a hit everywhere i take them! I also add a little bit of pumpkin pie spice to make them taste better. What upset me was the fact that i didn't have enough dough for 24 mini pies. And i also had way too much filling left over as well. Other than that, they are really loved by everyone who tries them!

These desserts turned out GREAT and they were so easy to make. If you need a quick dessert you should definitely try these! I didn't have dark corn syrup so I used light instead, and they turned out fine! They are very moist and bursting with flavor!

We served these delightful little tarts after Xmas dinner. Not a huge sugar bomb, light and delicious. Everyone loved them. After Xmas, I did another batch for my staff - 24 tarts lasted 2 minutes with 5 people. This recipe is a keeper.

Has anyone made this ahead of time and then freezing them?

I made these ahead of time just to be sure that I would get it right and it was wonderful. I used brown rice syrup instead of Karo syrup and added a little pumpkin spice. They turned out perfect! Thanks Sunny!

These are wonderful little "Finger" snacks for a buffet or just passing by the kitchen for something to "Pop" into your mouth! Sensational!

Now for those "Readers" who comment on flavor, sweetness and so forth. My suggestion is to make this recipe "AS DIRECTED" before you slam it! The fact
is that this recipe has been "Kitchen tested" long before it makes the show. So,
once you have done this, then make your tweaks over and over like the test kitchen does, then post your suggestions so you don't get slammed.

I made it as suggested, then made adjustments until I got it right! Now maybe I have been cooking for many years and know not to put something out that I have not personally made before and made the adjustments before serving it to my guest. Perhaps that should become a new rule for other cooks who make adjustments that don't work, then SLAM the recipe! Take the time to perfect it like the professionals so your comments are appreciated and others want to follow your lead!

Now I was being nice, usually I would tell you all that when you are writing a review that perhaps you should adapt the comment "This was not to my personal liking, however you may enjoy it"! Remember that is why there is chocolate, vanilla and strawberry for the weirdo's! LOL

We have a pre thanksgiving dinner at a friends house, and I wanted to make them, so I decided to make a batch at home, to see.......the recipe itself is great as a BASE for the pie. You need to add spices, like nutmeg, cinnamon, and ginger to give it some flavor, i would also recommend using splenda instead of sugar, and double the sugar, to give it some sweetness, even though you use the Karo syrup, it's still just doesn't have that needed sweetness. I'm going to try them again, and see what happens if i add a caramel drizzle on top....maybe it wouldn't need more sugar inside, if i do the drizzle!! Hope this helps others...& Happy Holidays!!
