In the episode, Sunny said that she thought she found a gem in her mussel when she was eating, but came to find out it was just dirt. I FOUND A GEM IN MY MUSSELS! Thank you Sunny! This recipe is easy and oh so delicious. I can't wait to continue to cook for real.

I just love you Sunny, I have tried more than 20 of your recipes and every single one has been wonderful. I have 5 lbs of mussels and I can't wait to get this on the table tonight. I never miss your show.
Note to non cooks - anytime you cook shell fish especially when it has a hard shell, you need to scrub then rinse several times, ALL shell fish can have sand under the shells. This is considered a standard practice for any cook.
Sunny thanks for reminding me about how wonderful mussels are!

I found the chorizo to be very flavorfull. What a fantastic idea to give the mussels that extra kick. I've never used them before but will be using them more in the future. As far as the wine goes, the amount was not the issue. I think it just does not have enough time to render out while in the steaming process. I would suggest adding the wine to the onions and garlic after they become translucent and reduce by half. Then add the mussels. I personally like the wine taste but my boys (10 and 12 had some difficulty with it. Overall a great recipe and will try again.

This recipe is GREAT. It was simple and soooo yummy, just remember, don't include the water that the mussels were in, just wine, we made the bread that she makes in the segment very good also, we made a half pound of whole wheat penne and used the juices to put over pasta FANTASTIC

I have to say that I enjoy watching your show not only because you cook regular food, but because you make it fun and easy. Thank you for making it a joy to cook! Please dont listen to Sonja from TX if she doesnt like you she can change the channel. AND SONJA if you dont enjoy the show then stop watching it, you dont have to be offensive to get your point across.

Killeen TX; please go get a life, try the recipe, most of all stop hating.
To you Sunny never had mussels before, I did it for my boyfriend and he loved them so much I had to try them incredibly tasty. Also Sunny I want to thank you for the Creamed Spinach, Honey Glazed Carrots, Baked Lemon Sole with Swiss Chard, Chicken Fried Steak with Diced Potato Gravy and The Vegetarian Southern-style Collard Greens. I have done them all, your recipes are as good as your show and you keep on keeping on. I love to hear all of the stories behind where it comes from with you. It's your show and you GOT IT GOING ON GIRL!!!!!!

am watching the episode as I write this. Yes, one whole 750ml bottle of white wine. No water except the small amount that might collect in the bowl that you put the cleaned mussels in.
