I also used the dried apricots instead of peaches and they worked well. I used my small cookie scoop and just flattened them. The recipe made twice as many cookies at that size and I baked them just 10 min since they were smaller. Next time I will add some coconut just for fun. I would like to have the size of the unbaked cookie on the recipe instead of just saying 20 balls of dough.A good tasting cookie!

Very good - even better the second day!!! Somehow they stayed moist and soft the next day (usually my cookies get hard.

These were delicious except my peach pieces got a little tough. I wonder if it would help to hydrate them first.

The cookies were great and my grands raved! That's the important vote around here. Only change is I used dried apricots instead of the peaches. First time I used apricots as I couldn't find peaches. Second time the peaches and there were hard pieces in the peaches which the apricots were perfect. Thanx

These cookies were exceptionally good, but we still preferred Adam's. We made both on the same day. In all fairness however, dried peaches were unavailable and I used a combination of dried pineapple and dried cantalope. These flavour were really nice in the cookies and even though MOST people liked Adam's better, they all liked Sunny's as well.

What a delightful and delicious change from the usual chocolate chip cookie! Since I like the combination of peaches and almonds, I substituted chopped toasted almonds for the walnuts, and added some almond extract. I had to bake a second batch as my family ate the first batch right out of the oven! This recipe is a keeper.

After picking up the May 2011 issue of the Food Network Magazine, I noticed this cookie recipe by Sunny Anderson (part of the "Ultimate Chocolate Chip Cookie Battle" between Sunny's cookies vs. Adam Gertier's cookies... check out my review of the battle royale here: bit.ly/fawg60, and knew I had to try it out. Dried peaches? White chocolate chips? Walnuts? Oatmeal? Put all of those ingredients together and you've got an AMAZING cookie!
Although I did substitute dried apricots for dried peaches, only because dried peaches are so darn expensive (3x as much!. Also added a bit more white chocolate chips. : Oh, and these cookies taste even better the day after, so I'd recommend doubling the recipe right away when baking it!

I love these! I consider myself a true dark chocolate lover and was surprised that I like these so much. They are a perfect oatmeal cookie.
(And if we're talking about the He Said, She Said cookie showdown in the April FN Magazine, these are definitely better than Adam's cookies. I tried both just to see. Go Sunny! ;
