I have always loved brussels sprouts and when I saw Sunny make this recipe I thought "oh, looks Yummy". Boy was I wrong !!!!! I've been cooking for 45 yrs. and I thought to my self " cooking these sprouts for only 10 min. is not going to be enough " and boy was I right. The sprouts were waaaaay undercooked, hard and bitter. The only thing edible was the onion and bacon. My next attempt will be with sprouts that have been partially cooked, drained, patted dry and then go on from there.

I have made brussels sprouts this way in the past using fresh brussels sprouts but today I tried frozen brussels sprouts (10 oz. package. Just thaw the sprouts for 5 hours at room temperature on paper towels to absorb the water. Use more paper towels as needed to dry them. Cut them in half and proceed with the recipe using 2 slices of bacon and half the bacon drippings with a pat of butter added. Also, I used half a shallot instead of the onion. Shallots are a bit sweeter and taste like a cross between an onion and garlic. I made this for lunch for myself since my husband does not care for brusses sprouts. My dog even loved it. Delicious recipe. Enjoy.

I hated, Hated, HATED brussels sprouts as a kid and now I know why... They did'nt taste like this. Though I'm not a vegan, please know that I am truly a lover of all vegetables, but I just could'nt get with brssels sprouts. Thanks to Sunny, my new love in veggies is now brussels sprouts. Excellent recipe and it could not be any easier to prepare. Thanks so much and I love, Love, LOVE you and your show.

I only made half of the recipe, thinking it would be enough for me and my hubby. I was mistaken. It was so delicious and I wanted more! I will definitely make this again. It was so easy and delicious. It will go nicely with any meat/ chicken dishes.

This was my first experience preparing fresh brussels sprouts and I am now a convert. This recipe was great. Terrific flavors without spending a lot of time. Just what the busy mom ordered.

Made these with pan seared pork chops with black pepper gravy and brown rice. Her teen son didn't eat them but since it didn't come in a bell wrapper I really didn't figure he would.

I was turned off by brussel sprouts as a kid and thougt I'd give them a second chance when my husband prepared this dish. They were very tasty (hello? bacon and onions! If you haven't had them in awhile, or just had them boiled to a soggy mess, give these a try. The brussel sprout may win you back!

I just made these tonight. When I saw Sunny's show I knew I had to try this recipe. I've always liked brussel sptouts, but everytime they've been bitter.
These were terrific, my husband even enjoyed them. A big thank you!
