This recipe is very good. It has a light and refreshing taste. It's great alone or as a side dish.

    Thanks Sunny!

This was a wonderful salad. Served it at room temperature and everyone loved it.

This dish is as easy as it seems, but incredibly flavorful. The red onions add a nice sweet kick and the herbs and lemon are a great flavor combo of course. The salt parm brings all of the flavors together. I ate it warm, but I am sure chilled would be just as great.

I'm always looking for new orzo and risotto recipes so I decided to give this one a try. I sauted the garlic and onions in olive oil and butter for a few minutes because I don't think I would've liked the raw onion and garlic with the cooked orzo. I used just a little zest and juice because I think too much would've been overpowering. I even cooked the orzo in vegetable broth but the final product still lacked flavor. I am going to stick to Giada's Creamy Orzo recipe.

Really like this with the beef tenderloin cubes wrapped in proscuitto. They complimented each other very well. Next time I will probably put less lemon in it though. I also added a little more parmesan cheese than the recipe called for.

Just because I love a crunch to orzo-inspired dishes, I did Sunny's recipe exactly as shown and added some toasted pine nuts. Even without them this is a winner, though. I love a sidedish recipe that is just as good warm, room temp, or cold (obviously when served cold you need to allow time for olive oil to meld w/other ingredients. Thanks, Sunny, can't wait to try the beef tenderloin for a special occasion to marry this with.

Made the orzo salad along with the prosciutto wrapped steak it was fantastic,I'm getting to watch Sunny more and more, in the beginning I wasn't too sure, did my kitchen work while she was on, until one day she did a german show, being german she had my undevided attention, can't remember what she cooked but she did it exactly the way it should be done, and ever after that she had me hooked, after Ina she's number one in my book.

I have made this recipe about 3 times now, I use more Olive Oil and Lemon juice then suggested, but there are never any left overs. When my husband and daughter see this on the table they both get very excited. Thanks for the perfect orzo recipe.

I saw this recipe yesterday on her show and I thought to myself that we needed to have something different for dinner. My husband and son were completely in awe! The beef tenderloin cubes wrapped in proscuitto were excellent and SO easy to make, but this dish, orzo w/parmesan, shallots, garlic lemon juice and zest......words cannot explain. Best dinner we had in a long while. I recommend this recipe to everyone. The parmesan herb orzo was definitely terrific. Thanks Sunny for sharing.
