I made the recipe with a Sara lee poundcake as some others recommended. Instead of the heavy cream I used 1/2 cup of half and half to lighten the cream cheese and then I folded in 8 oz. Of lite whipped topping to lower the calories a bit. But it was still far too HEAVY for our taste. It was easier than the trifles I make from scratch, but no where near as good and has far more calories!

It was too sweet for my family, but that's easily remedied!

Check your cream. That happened to me a year ago. Retrieving the carton from the garbage (thought it might have been out of date, i discovered i'd bought *ultra-pasteurized". Went back to store, bought regular pasteurized, and it worked like a charm!

Ok, obviously I must have done something wrong becausee all the reviews are 5 or 4 stars. My cream curdled and came out awfull because of this and idk why!!! I whipped it for quite sometime(I probably broke the cream but it wouldn't thicken at all! Can someone please telll me what I did wrong?

AWESOME. I made this for the VFW post that my husband belongs to and it was gone before I got a chance to taste it. They all loved it. I did double the recipe.

My wife and I made this recipe before starting our dinner (Guy's inside out burger Yum! and it was pretty easy, but took a us a little longer
I like how this delicious recipe is pretty easy to make and doesn't require a ton of ingredients, but if you don't catch the berries on sale it can be kinda of exspensive!
All in all, it was super fantastic!

Huge hit for Memorial Day BBQ. Kids and parents both loved it. Substituted pound cake for the angel food and skipped the syrup since the pound cake was already moist and flavorful. Added vanilla to the cream and it was amazing. Will DEFINITELY be making this again! Thanks Sunny!
