Huge hit for Memorial Day BBQ. Kids and parents both loved it. Substituted pound cake for the angel food and skipped the syrup since the pound cake was already moist and flavorful. Added vanilla to the cream and it was amazing. Will DEFINITELY be making this again! Thanks Sunny!

Tried this for the first time on Memorial Day. It was a huge hit at the family backyard party. Will definitely make it again.

Such a hit MEMORIAL DAY & plan to use for FOURTH OF JULY!!!!

This recipe ROCKED THE HOUSE on Memorial and is a planned revisitor star for the Fourth.

I did change it up a smidge or two...I used purchased loaves of Angel food cakes...I used SPLENDA in the Lemon water that was brushed on the cake chunks--so no need to heat it up as Splenda mixed right in to fluids...as well as TRUVIA & SPLENDA combo for the softened cream cheese & used COLD heavy cream so it would be more easily lightly whipped. I added some Lemon Zest to the & 1/4-1/2 tsp. Almond Extract to cream mixture & sprinkled some lemon zest & TRUVIA granules on top of berries on top. Made for a refreshing brightness to the berries & cream cheese layers.

Use your imagination with other fruits, too. I am thinking of adding vanilla & more almond with sliced toasted almonds along with maybe toasted coconut & bananas or maybe mangos. THANKS Sunny!

Made this for a Memorial Day BBQ. It was great! The cream cheese makes it so it is not too sweet. Would definitely make it again for a party!

Made this for a backyard BBQ. Everybody raved about it - kids and adults alike! I used the full amount of cream and did not find the filling drippy at all. Yummmm!!!!

turned out okay except for the cake. The bought cake i used was large and instead of using my judgement i went by the recipe and had too much cake for the recipe. everyone enjoyed it but it did not look like the picture which disappointed me since is was memorial day. however taste wise, it was good. would make it again.
