OMGoodness!!!! So Yummy and So Easy! I bought a trifle dish for $4 @Walmart and this recipe filled the dish to the top!! I followed it exactly and my trifle looked exactly like the picture. I have never made any desserts home made especially like this one and it was a HUGE hit for kids and adults at our Memorial Day Cookout. The cream cheese filling tastes just like cheesecake. You could eat that all by itself or use it for a fruit dip or so many other things. It was simple, and only took about 30 minutes total including prep and it disappeared in less than 5 mins so I would advise if you are having more than 10-15 guests... Make 2 because it will be a hit!!! Only thing is that you will need some type of baster brush for part of the recipe which I didnt realize until I got to that part but we made it work. As for the angel food cake needed in the recipe, I bought mine pre-made for $3 @ the bakery in Wal-Mart and it worked perfect and saved me so much extra work!!!

It was AWESOME! Very pretty and everyone loved it. Simple too. The addition of the cream cheese really gives it a nice flavor without being so rich and sweet. Followed recipe to a "T".

Wonderful dessert and made quite the presentation! Adults and kids loved it. I can see substituting other in season fruit for a tasty & beautiful summer dessert!

This trifle was delicious as well as pleasing to the eye! I prepared it true to the recipe. I recently served it at a clam steam that I had for my friends. Everyone enjoyed it very much.

I actually did a little bit of substituting with this recipe as well - I used low fat Cool Whip instead of the cream cheese/sugar custard, and I used a store bought Angle food cake (no one wants to bake in the hot summer months....my husband and I were very pleased with the substitutions (and so were our waistlines.
This one is a keeper!

This delicious!! My family loved it! Absolutely nothing left. The trifle dish looked like it had licked clean. The cream came out flat. I didn't use the syrup on the cake to cut back on some of the sugar. I am a diabetic and wanted to be able to enjoy it with my family. Next time, I plan on using vanilla or white chocolate pudding mixed with whipped topping. I will definitely make this on other occasions. It makes a nice summer dessert.

This was absolutely delicious! I made it with a boxed yellow butter cake mix instead of angel food cake (because that was all I had in the kitchen but it was delicious!
Light, summery, refreshing.

I used a yellow cake mix instead of the angel food cake. I read the other reviews and cut down the amount of heavy cream. Excellent dessert. I will make again.
