These were awesome, Sunny! So quick and easy. So moist and just right in texture. I don't understand why other reviews say the cream cheese layer was eggy...it was like a cheesecake puree.

Excellent! So easy, and they were perfectly done in the time allotted. I also omitted the nuts due to a guest allergy.

I cannot understand the negative reviews here unless those people just don't know what cheesecake is.

Omg these are addicting thank you sunny! Only thing I did differently was omit the nuts and added a tsp off expresso powder to red velvet part

For the people that gave this recipe a low rating, they must of done something wrong! To make them more "fudgy" I only used 1/2 tsp of vinegar, and I added another 1/4 cup of sugar to brownie mix. I made them for a Christmas party last night! I was one of the few people without leftovers to bring home at the end of the night. I got a lot of compliments! The texture was perfect, just like a brownie and the cheescake layer was heavenly. Putting them in the refrigerator is the trick to making these great!

Yum!!! I made these for a dinner party that I was attending. They were a huge hit. The only thing that I did differently was to frost the browines with a milk chocolate frosting. People are still talking about them!

Maybe the best brownies I've ever put in my mouth. I've taken them to a couple of tailgates and everyone who tried one loved it

I was doubtful about making these brownies and i completely regret my decision to go ahead and try them even after reading the negative reviews. The brownie part was nice and moist and very delicious, unfortunately the cheese cake part tasted terrible. I now understand why people say that the cheese cake tasted more like egg beat than cheese cake.

These brownies are everything I expected them to be: soft, moist, dense (somehow fudgy and cakey at the same time, and DELICIOUS. They taste just like red velvet cake but have a great brownie texture. I usually don't review a recipe unless I've followed it exactly, but in this case I wanted to add a rave to the mixed reviews because the negative reviews made me think twice about trying the recipe. Besides, I made only one change: I omitted the walnuts; I will try these with nuts in the future but today I wanted them smooth. I don't think it's weird that the butter is melted or that there's no leavening in the recipe...this is consistent with most of the other brownie recipes I've tried. And mine were done in exactly 30 minutes. Anyway, just wanted to say that this recipe is AMAZING! So good, and so quick and easy to make. Even my boyfriend, who normally doesn't want red velvet anything, praised their flavor and appearance and tried to take my brownie after he ate his.

I am an avid baker, I've made my own cakes, pastries, etc from scratch and have even perfected my grandmother's recipes and these brownies were not up to scratch. I thought it was weird that there was no rising agent (as i've made brownies before and they usually call for some. The came out quite thin and dense. The cream cheese part was good, but the "brownie" part was disappointing. It's a shame because it tasted good at the raw stage.
