This soup is absolutely amazing! My husband and I cannot get over it! Serve it up with a nice big chunk of sour dough and you'll be in Heaven! It was rediculously easy to make and truly tasted like something you would order at a nice restraunt. This recipe is a must for a cold winter night, it will warm you to the soul and leave you with a happy feeling!!!!

I love tomato soup! Even more, I love tomato bisque but know that it has a high fat content. The consistency and full flavor of this soup negates my need for tomato bisque and this soup is soooo healthy and easy to make! Wonderful consistency, excellent well balanced flavor, the vinegar gives it a "zest" and I did not find the need to add any additional seasoning whatsoever! Highly recommended! I agree, it tastes like a restaurant quality soup but so easy to make! --Soup lover

I LOVE this soup! It is so easy to make, I try to always have some in the fridge or freezer. My secret is I add a pinch of cumin after blending, it really adds a subtle something extra. People have told me they could easily see this on a restaurant menu. I was never a fan of tomato soup but when I saw this recipe on TV I just HAD to try it!

This soup has all of my favorite things - tomatoes, peppers, onions and balsamic. This combination is fantastic and the soup is so easy to make. The aroma when the vegetables are roasting makes the kitchen smell wonderful.

I make this soup at least once a week. It is the ultimate comfort food and brings raves when I share (which isn't often! I added 1 tablespoon of honey to round out the flavor. Nirvana!

Simply Wonderful!! This soup tastes you've slaved over a hot stove when in reality it requires very little work. We will make this again and again. With crusty sourdough grilled ham and cheese sandwiches it's a great Sunday night dinner.

It was so easy and especially delicious! I roasted and boiled everything the night before, so I simply had to puree and reheat the next day. I looked forward to every bowl of leftovers I had! With a grilled cheese or a piece of crusty bread this is the perfect warm up on a chilly day!

The roasting, peppers, and balsamic gave this a really great grown-up flavor. It was easy to make and the vegetables smelled soooo good in the oven. Much better than restaurant tomato soup and can't even be compared to soup in a can. This is the real deal. I used an immersion blender so it was smooth but not too liquid. The result was a nice thick consistency, but you could leave pieces of vegetable or puree so it's thin, too. Great cooking and eating for a cold fall day!

After I saw Sunny make this, then reading the reviews, I knew I had to make it. It is the best soup, and so, so easy. It's rich and smoky, and the bell peppers add just the right amount of sweetness. I used chicken stock, instead of vegetable stock and that added to the wonderful flavor. I did strain it through a fine mesh strainer to eliminate the skins. I will make this again, and again, and again. THNX Sunny!
