I made this tonight. It was awesome. I used celery instead of green peppers, because I didnt have any green peppers on hand. The recipe will be added to our collection.

My family never liked shepherds pie until I made this one . I made a lot to have as leftovers for the next day so I wouldn't have to cook again. It did not make it. I went into the kitchen the next afternoon and there was nothing but an empty pan. They loved it!

I really loved this recipe. It was so easy to prepare and it came out just as delicious looking as Sunny's on TV. My mother in law gave me her version, but I prefer this one better and so does my family, don't tell Mom!

I used 1/2 the potatoes and doubled the rest...yummy!

So so good! First time making shepherds pie but without the mushroom gravy. Instead I used our favorite roasted chicken gravy. It worked out fine. Update: My family, especially my daughter, requests these all the time.

My husband told me this was an A+ for my recipe book, the only thing wrong being he ate too much of it! I used ground sirloin & no fat to brown it since I used a non-stick pan. I also used fat-free half & half for potatoes, and an additional 1/2 pound of them, and they were great. Note that the butter is divided: it should say that. It doesn't all go in the potatoes, I discovered too late. Doing the julienne is very time consuming, so be prepared. But the veggies were very pretty and delicious! I'd cut the gravy in half, but it is good. I might use butter rather than oil in the gravy, but that's a personal taste preference. Gravy would be good over meatloaf, too. The Havarti cheese kind of disappeared, flavor-wise in this. Consider another cheese, perhaps.

I liked this recipe for Shepherd's Pie. I thought the gravy gave it a really great flavor. Thanks for the recipe Sunny.

Fabulous! I made it for my husband's birthday dinner, and he and everyone else loved it! The gravy was a nice addition to the pie, although I added about two tsps of Worcestershire and a little ground savory for flavor. A very nice meal!

Skip the mushroom onion gravy. Not worth the expense or effort and would detract from the quality flavors of the Shephard's Pie. Used a horseradish Havarti Cheese and it was tremendous.
