If you like a salty/sweet taste, this dish is for you..Especially when you cut up the strawberries, you also get the fresh taste..Will make again and again!

I totally love this dessert!!! Strawberries and chocolate with a hint of saltiness... YUMMMM!!!!
My hubby is diabetic so I am converting it to Sugar free. I will keep you posted. My daughter is not that fond of the pretzels but I love the crunch and hint of saltiness it gives.

This was good. I used it at Christmas dinner to replace our family tradition of mandarin oranges, orange jello powder, cool whip, cottage cheese mix.... Some newer family members don't like cottage cheese.
This was good, and well liked by all. I made it with mandarin oranges, orange juice and orange jello. I kept all other ingredients the same. I just ate some leftovers, and it still tasted good...

Too much butter, way too much butter. I followed the recipe exactly and it was just ok. If I made it again I would use maybe 2 TBS of butter not 2 sticks. My daughter thought the butter flavor was overpowering.

I followed the recipe to a T and had no problem with how it turned out. It was really good....I love how all these "random" ingredients add up to a super good dessert, that is out of the ordinary. It was a bit involved to make, dirtying up many bowls and beaters, but not difficult. BTW, the term "crust" is used loosely here. It's not going to form a true crust where you actually cut out servings. I mean, common sense would tell you that's not going to happen with just pretzels and butter.

This dish has an interesting taste but we would not make it again. We couldn't pinpoint what we didn't particularly like about it but it isn't worth a second try in our opinion. However, using pinapple juice to make strawberry jello... AWESOME!!!

I was glad to find this recipe. I have had a very similiar desert before, but had always heard it called Funeral Salad. I think because it was taken to families after a loved one had died - heh. Anyway, I disagree that it was expensive and/or labor intensive. I think it was pretty easy and was VERY good!! For problems with soggy crusts, I am pretty sure she stated on her show that it did not hold up well for long term. Best to make and serve the same day or at least assemble the same day.
