The mild chocolate worked well very with the strawberries. I started not to try it because I am not a chocolate and fruit person but it was delicious. I wasn't sure amount the amount of butter so I didn't use quite as much butter but used almost what the recipe called for. The pretzels with the whipped cream was delicious. The next time I make it I might make a larger portion of the pretzel mixture for the bottom because it was so good! Once again - a great recipe from Sunny Anderson!

I've made this w/o the cocoa and choc. for years. The jello is best made with the juice from the berries and water. You don't need all that whipped cream, either. The biggest mistake, as I seen it, is the two sticks of butter in the crust should be two-three TBL. I like it with raspberries better anyway.

I saw this on tv the other day and thought it looked awful. How could these ingredients ever possibly work? I was very intrigued and wanted to be completely wrong. So I made this today. It turned out to be such an awful concoction. How could chocolate ever go with cream cheese, strawberry, pineapple, and whipped cream? It doesn't go, people!! The execution was very easy. I had no trouble layering it, and had no trouble serving it up in its layers. Such a waste of good strawberries and a huge thing of heavy whipping cream. The butter to pretzel ratio was absurd, and after a few hours of setting up in the fridge, you end up slicing yourself a slice of this pie with two sticks' worth of hardened butter on the bottom. The only good part was the Jello. cooked the pretzel layer for 6 minutes.

I made this with no chocolate. It's called three layer strawberry pretzel salad. It is to die for. Looks so beautiful on the table. You can go on line to find it. It's easy and every one will ask for the recipe. Because I like the other one so well I wll try this one for sure. I wouldn't bake the pretzels more than 6 minutes they get to hard and difficult to get off the bottom ot the casserole . Keep up the good work Sunny. luv you show. Born in South Carolina

I took this to a cookout and everyone there loved it. I think the different flavors and textures really compliment each other. I did make a few adjustments though, I used strawberry/kiwi juice and substituted cool whip for the whipping cream to save time. I also let the jello mixture become somewhat set before pouring it over my the first layer, much more manageable that way!! Thanks Sunny for a great, easy recipe!!!

I took the pineapple juice out and used strawberry juice because with the amount of pineapple in the recipe would make the name Strawberry, pineapple and chocolate jiggle fluff pie!

Super easy to make, I let it sit overnight and the layers came out perfectly (even the first slice, which is always hard to get out!. I also followed the advice of a previous rating who said to smooth out the "holes" in the cream cheese layer on the side of the dish and the jello never leaked to the pretzels.

My whole family loved it. Great combination of salty/sweet. It was just sweet enough. This is not a sugary or rich recipe, which I love. If you are a person who has a major sweet tooth you might want to add more sugar than recommended, but if you like just a hint of sweetness follow the recipe. All the flavors could be tasted and went so well together! Also a great recipe for potlucks since it can be done the night before and a great treat for a warm day because it is so light.

This recipe is good, but I wouldn't make it again without playing with the ingredients. It just seemed like something was missing from it. Just didn't work for me.
