What ever you do, don't call this sandwich a takeoff of a "Philly" cheesesteak! There is only one style of cheesesteak and that is made and purchased in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It's not a Philly cheesesteak. It's called a cheesesteak. Don't ever embarras real Philadelphians again with this mess. A "cheesesteak" consist of rib eye steak, grilled onions and cheese (preferably cheese wiz. That's all. If you want mushrooms or peppers you can get them on the side.

I am watching the episode right now and she used cheddar. I don't know where you saw provolone, but I bet that would be good too. Yum Yum Sunny. Thanks again.

The first time i made this i had to agree with everyone else, it made a ton of cheese sauce & it didn't reheat well the next day. we now make the easiest velveeta sauce (velveeta cheese & a can of rotel tomatoes! and it is delicious & the leftover sauce can be reheated (we usually use it for tortilla chips. maybe this is a big "cheat" but it works for us!

I made this dish with my daughter and we loved it, however I have to wonder about the sauce there was just to much and it felt like it was missing something.

Ive always stuck to my favorite flank steak recipe until tonight. The marinade blew me away and the cheese sauce was excelent. My only issue, however, was that despite the fact that I froze and sliced the flank steak extremely thin, on the bias, and against the grain, the meat was still so tough it was hard to eat. I had to take it out and chop it all up again.
All and all it was wonderfull.

I made these cheese steaks for my husband and his friends during a WWE wrestling event he held at the house. It was so easy to make and i actually doubled the recipe to have extras. The guys loved it and still ask me to make it for them when they have guys night. This is one recipe staying with me forever. Thanks SUNNY!!!!!
