We made this dish today with the gravy. Instead of dicing the potato for the gravy, we made mashed potatoes and served the gravy over everything. So incredible. The steaks were tender and flavorful. The cayenne pepper is just right! Loved the easy clean up with the paper bag. This is getting made again when my folks come into town.

I followed the recipe exactly as it is written and had wonderful results. My husband considers himself a chicken fried steak aficionado and he said this dish could be (and should be offered at a restaurant. Thank you, Sunny. This is my new favorite!

I love Sunny Anderson and her excitement over good food. I can relate to her style and ease of cooking, because she makes it look so easy and like anyone can accomplish a great meal with few ingredients.
