I made it today but instead of making them into cookies I made bars. I had to use a little more fluff and should have used a little less chocolate.
I used a 9 x 13 pan and put down 1/2 the mix then layered the chocolate, fluff and then the coconut and graham crumbs then rolled out the other half of the mix and flipped it over onto the top. then chilled for about 1 hr. Thanks to Melissa for saying to make it in an 8x8 or 9x13.

This recipe is just ok. I would never have made the full batch knowing how much time this would take. We actually threw half of it out. It is too sweet for us and we will not be making it ever again. I would not recommed this to anyone

I am only half way through the recipe and I went to read the reviews, I should have read them before I started. so far all I have is a big mess. I think I am going to roll the rest of the dough into balls cover in chocolate and be done with them. Maybe Ican salvage the remainder of the dough. Next time I read the reviews first. I can;t imagine what this would be like if I double dipped them as suggested in the recipe. I guess that they need to come up with wso many recipes that no one bothers to test them. Too Bad.

Better to gather the family 'round the grill or fire and make real s'mores!! These were incredibly labor intensive, dipping each round was a major mess and you need far more chocolate and graham cracker crumbs then called for. They tasted nothing like s'mores because peanut butter was the predominent flavor. Wish I had spent all those hours making several other types of cookies instead of this one!

When I first saw these cookies, they looked amazing in the picture. However, after I made them, they all ended up in the GARBAGE. The 'cookie' isn't even a cookie and the dough is so hard to handle (after having to tweak it myself that it took over an hour and a half to roll and make into coin-shaped cookies. THEN, dip them in chocolate and then 'pipe' the fluff. First, you cannot possible pipe fluff - too sticky. This whole recipe took well over 2 hours to do not including the 30 minutes each 'set' time. After finishing and tasting, the 'cookies' were so sweet, they were inedible.
I am VERY dissapointed that this cookie made it to the 12 days of cookies list on FN since it clearly wasn't tested by the test kitchen.
Note: Don't make this cookie.

I had read some of the reviews of these being too sweet before I started to make them. So, I decided to cut down on the amount of powdered sugar that was added to them. Instead of the 5 cups, I used only 3. They still came out plenty sweet. I would say just add the powdered sugar gradually and taste them as you go to see how much you want to add to your own. They are quite messy if you go to roll the dough into balls and then flatten slightly, but if you keep your hands wet with a little bit of water it's actually not too bad.
As for the chocolate dipping part, I used a small spatula to put the chocolate on one side of these, and then sprinkled the grahm cracker pieces on top. I let them chill in the refridgerator for a bit and repeated the process with the other side of the cookies.
I haven't yet added the fluff to them, that will come once it's closer to when we're going to eat them. But, I'm planning on just putting a little on top of each cookie and not making them into sandwiches as they'd be far too messy. With these, I think a little bit goes a long way.

This recipe was a huge hit with my family! Although it was quite messy and time consuming, we had a lot of fun making it!! We also had so many leftovers that we gave the unique looking peanut butter bites (thats what the little one calls them our neighbors as happys. I have had several people ask me for this recipe, however, I do tell them in advance that it takes a while and is a mess. But the taste is well worth the work. I fully recommend this!
