OMG this was the WORST tiramisu I have ever eaten. My wife and I could not stomach it, it ended up in the trash. WAY too much alcohol, not nearly enough lady fingers to make even 3 let alone 6 servings. DO NOT SMOKE AFTER EATING THIS!! COULD BE LETHAL!!!

What was she thinkin? Taramisu is light and delicately sweet. This is recipe is bitter and harsh tasting. 8 ozs of booze? Way too much! Don't waste your time on this one!

The amount of alcohol it calls for has to be wrong!!! 8 oz? maybe they meant 8 tbs?

The whisky along with the listed strength on the expresso accounts for the strong offensive taste previous posters mentioned. I left the whisky out entirely. My grandmother's recipe calls for Italian brandy but I like it much better without. If you don't want to buy expresso powder, strong brewed coffee is an easy substitute, and sweeten it. I use 2 t. sugar to 1-1/2 cups of strong coffee and it's lovely. Add more sugar if you like it sweeter. I appreciate Sunny's take on Taramisu, but she must like to taste liquor. I like her energy and she cracks me up the way she laughs.

After reading the recipe, I cautiously added 4 oz of whiskey and 1/2 the recommended espresso powder. I tasted it and realized it was still quite strong (and bitter! for my taste so I diluted it a little bit more by adding about 1/3 cup of water to the mixture. Once I did this and made sure to soak the lady fingers for only a few seconds, the recipe turned out really good.

RUN THE OTHER WAY!!! SAVE YOURSELF THE MISERY OF TRYING THIS POISONOUS MIXTURE! YOU'LL ONLY THROW IT OUT, I PROMISE. I DID. There is something SERIOUSLY wrong with this concoction!!! My husband said it was the WORST THING I'VE EVER SERVED HIM AND HE WAS RIGHT!!!! AND HE IS VERY EASY TO PLEASE!!! Neither one of us could stomach this. It was bitter and way too strong. This doesn't even come close to Tiramisu which is sweet & purely declicious. Sunny must have left out the sugar for the coffee mixture as well as calling for WAY too much alcohol which is a WHOLE 8 oz!!! That mixed with non-sweet coffee and then poured over the lady fingers is one sure way to ruin your evening not to mention the WASTE OF EXPENSIVE MASCARPONE CHEESE THAT WILL BE RUIINED IF YOU MAKE THIS!! STAY away from this recipe completely if you want to keep your friends and family happy. BLECH!!!! BLECH!!!! BLECH!!!! I even tried adding sugar- didn't work. Tried adding ice cream, a little better but I ended up throwing it all out. There was no way to save this sorry excuse of a recipe.
