WoW! Who would expect such common pantry items to taste this good?! My family and I loved this. My son does not care for coconut at all and even he admitted the bars are great and the coconut did not detract at all. I will DEFINITELY be making this again!! Do make sure you let it cool and your bars will turn out great. Oh, 1 note - I didn't have an 8x8" dish so I used a metal 9" pie dish, let it cook about 10 minutes more and it baked beautifully.

Great summer time treat, I personally love the added coconut. Just make sure they are truly cooled - I cut them a little too soon even though they had been out of the oven a few hours and they didn't stay together very well, but were still delicious.

WARNING: May cause overeating and refusal to share.

These are great! Just as rich and delicious as they sound. I used an apple-brandy jelly instead of strawberry and I highly recommend it! I also used white whole wheat flour so I could feel healthier eating them. They were great for breakfast... and lunch and dinner. :

Great bar cookie especially if your a peanut butter and jelly fan. Love the addition of chocolate chips and the suptle hint of coconut texture at the end of each chew.
