I love refried beans but had never made them myself before. I followed her recipe, but added cumin, corrinder along with the sazon. These were pretty good until I added the lime. I love lime with almost anything Mexican , but the flavor just didn't go with these beans.

Those were great! My husband, whose pretty picky even requested that I keep this recipe to use in burritos etc. in the future.

I really enjoyed these beans. I have never made homemade refried beans before (typically from a restaurant, occasionally from a can and these were easy and great! The only problem I had was the liquid from the first can of beans not evaporating. I let them simmer away for an extra 15 minutes and not only had the flavor concentrated but my liquid problem was solved! I agree, the lime was necessary. I added a few dashes of hot sauce and did not have Sazon so I substituted a couple shakes of Adobo. Served it along side some yellow rice, ground beef, salsa, and tortillas.

These are the best refried beans I've ever eaten. Don't skip the lime juice at the end, it really makes the dish.

This is one of the best tasting "refried bean" recipes I've ever had!

I've become a fan of the Goya products from this dish....

    These beans are GOOD.

    Thank you Sunny

We hosted the superbowl party this year at our home. Many of my friends are from Texas or south of the border, so we love our beans. This version of refried beans was a tremendous hit with out the authenic fuss.We served this as a side and along with ingrid hoffman's chimichurri sause (recipe in foodnetwork.
