Incredible taste. Instead of ground beef, I substituted a beef, pork and veal mixture and at the very end, I sprinkled montery jack jack cheese all over. Awesome!

Short story...my wife lied when I called to see if we had everything...we didn't...so here is what I substituted. Tomato sauce with mild taco sauce, bell pepper and jalepeno with Rotel and yellow rice instead of white rice...I topped each one with a half slice of pepper jack when it was done...now I have to make these once a week for the kids. I have since made them the way they are shown here and the family loves both...

I made these tonight and they were awesome! I love the sweet yet slight spiciness of the cubanelles and they were so simply to make. I sprinkled some cheese on top once I removed them from the oven. Also, I used 96% lean meat to make them healthier as I am calorie counting Will make again and I love how healthy and diabetic friendly they are.

these were great! I used poblanos since that was all my market had. I didn't realize how many flavor options there were of sazon seasoning, but I used the tomato and cilantro and the peppers came out amazing! The whole family said they were the best stuffed peppers they have ever had, which means a lot coming from a large italian family! Next time I will use double the rice.

rating a 3 star because I haven't made it. Question, what sort of spice is sazon seasoning? Can I substitute? Never heard of it.

Poblano is what is the easiest to find here in the "everyday market" so that is what I used. I did pre-cook the rice and the meat though. The only things I added in addition was instead of using just a plain tomato sauce I used a couple cans of mild herdez salsa. My family and I tend to like a lil heat though, not that the salsa was hot or spicy it was just enough for flavor. One of the things that I liked was that this was a "family" dinner for us. The boys helped stuff the peppers and had fun. This will definitly be a keeper! A nice change for the person who loves the filling of "stuffed peppers" but doesnt like bell peppers! Thanks all the other reviewers for the tips and suggestions....

This recipe was ok. If I made it again I would have to make some changes. The flavor of the filling was delicious but the rice was undercooked. And the sauce surrounding the peppers definitely needs something more.
