At First I thought that these muffins were DISGUSTING when I ate them when they came out if the oven. It didn't smell good and the blueberries were runny. After letting them sit and cool down they we're the most DELICIOUS muffins I ever had. The lemon zest goes great with it too and gives it a nice flavor.

These are some of the best muffins ever! Very easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly, and they were perfect. I even froze them and hn took them out about 2 hours before serving, and they were perfect!

These really are ridiculously good! This is a great recipe for using up fruit right before it starts to go bad. I've substituted diced peaches, rasberries, blackberries, pears and grated apple for the other fruit and they always come out wonderful!! I do cut down a bit on the sugar (about 3/4 c and use half whole wheat flour. I'm going to try the applesauce substitution for the oil next time.

Delicious! Based on the reviews I doubled the recipe right away. It made 24 muffins and a loaf of bread. I cut back on the sugar to 3/4c. I also used 1/2c whole wheat flour and 1 c. white flour. The flavor was fantastic - they are very heavy, dense muffins with all that fruit in there, but still tasted superb. Using raw sugar on the top gave it a nice sweet crunch.

Outstanding muffins! I substituted 1/2 the flour with Whole Wheat flour, used brown sugar in place of white, and substituted apple sauce for oil. I also used almost a full pint of jumbo blueberries. The consistency was very good, however they stuck to the paper muffin cups. Absolutely delicious hot out of the oven.

In a word - Delicious! I took a tip from some of the other reviews and added rolled oats since I didn't have any walnuts on hand. Also, I didn't have a banana so to make up for the sweetness & moisture, I added a few tablespoons of homemade strawberry jam. And 3/4 cup of sugar was just perfect. They baked for 23 minutes and came out super moist. I thinking next time I'll try cutting out the oil and adding applesause instead. I'm curious if anyone else has tried that?
