made these over this past weekend (Father's Day 2011 for a brunch for my dad, my boyfriend and his Dad. I didn't change a single thing about the recipe and we all LOVED them. They are so moist. The lemon zest adds a wonderful flavor to these muffins. Do NOT omit the zest! I put a few extra walnuts in there because we all love nuts in our muffins.
As far as the muffins being "greasy" the next day as someone had mentioned - I did NOT have this problem at all. I covered them and left them on the counter overnight, and we had some again this a.m. and they were still just as yummy!
AWESOME muffin recipe Sunny! : Definitely a new addition to my recipe collection.

These muffins are so good. I used 3/4 cup sugar after reading other reviews. I also used brown sugar instead. Result: PERFECT.

These muffins were delicious and so easy to make! I even added more fruit than she called for and they still turned out fantastic. If you don't like your muffins super sweet I would suggest adding a little less sugar. I did and thought the fruit had enough sweetness that they were fantastic.

After watching your show at the food network tv, the very next day I went to Costco & bought Blueberries, Strawberries, Banana & Walnuts. I made them this afternoon. I made two batch, one with & one without walnuts because my daughter is allergic to nuts. My Kids really loved them. They called them ***LOVED MUFFINS***. I loved the one with nuts. They're so yummy. I'm bringing 8 muffins to work tomorrow, to share it with my coworkers. And I saved 3 muffins for my husband, so he can try them tomorrow for breakfast. Thank you for sharing the recipe.

Loved them, I was out of walnuts so I used pecans and they are super yummy. Made them last night for dessert and they are AWESOME right out of the oven. Read that some thought they were oily the next morning, so I didn't put them in a container but just left them on the counter. 9 sec. in the microwave and a little butter, and I had 3 of them this morning. Mmmmmmm, thanks

I love them! I used half a cup of whole wheat flour and I would prob next time put a little less nutmeg but overall very moist and tasty!

YUM! The only change I made was to use 1 cup of all-purpose flour and a 1/2 cup of wheat flour (instead of 1 and 1/2 cups regular. Definitely don't skip the lemon!

So easy! These are our favorite. I was sorry the one time I forgot the lemon, it really makes a difference. These are a must anytime we have company or go to any kind of gathering.

Amazing! I make these muffins about 6 times a year - my family loves them. I give them as gifts and have never heard anything but positive reviews. I usually skip the lemon (mostly by accident and add a little more cinnamon. Be sure to chop the strawberries really small - otherwise the muffins will be soggy.
