My five-year old daughter and I made this over the weekend. Great smells filled the kitchen and mom pleased. These muffins were light, fruitful and quite tasty. Definitely in my top five for muffins. Another great recipe from Sunny. We read many of the reviews before we made these muffins. I was a little hesitant to modify the recipe without first trying the original. However, we did cut the sugar by only using a 1/2 cup - it was just right for our taste. Heads up on a couple of ingredients. One, be sure to cut your strawberries to at least the size of your blueberries. The strawberries breakdown during baking. Two, I would cut the blueberries to 1 and 1/2 cups (instead of the pint. I will try some other suggestions next time, like using wheat flour or perhaps oats for more body.

I doubled everything in the recipe, except I only used 1 and 1/2 cups of sugar (because other reviewers said the muffins were too sweet and left out the blueberries. The batter smelled so good, I could hardly wait to try them. I can't wait to try them next time with blueberries!

These muffins are good but a little to sweet for my taste but my family absolutely loved them. I thought I had blueberries in the freezer but as it turned out I did, so I substituted dried cranberries and chopped apricots. They are very moist but as I said, too sweet for me. I'm going to try again tweaking the sugar.

I will make these again and again. At first I thought I had used too much fruit, but these were fantastic. (I used brown sugar for the strawberries...tasty!

I always find baking a challenge here in Albuquerque, because nothing seems to come out right. These muffins, while they didn't rise a whole lot, were delicious. I did put the temp a bit lower (335-340? and baked the muffins for just over 23 minutes, and I probably could have taken them out a minute or so earlier. They were lovely and moist and fluffy on the inside, and you could taste the banana, the strawberry, the lemon and the berries (i used dried cranberries; my grocery didn't have fresh blueberries. I also omitted the walnuts. I would highly recommend these for non-bakers (me because they're simple and turn out fantastic.

I must admit not liking to bake combined with not having the oversized muffin pans made me a little nervous to try this recipe, but after reading so many awesome reivews i decided to stop being scared of messing it up and just trying it. Sunny's always saying her recipes are easy so that was just the nudge i needed. Instead i omitted the blueberries (i didnt have any on hand and used 2 small loaf pans instead. Me not reading the directions over i forgot to add the oil till the very end ( i said I'm not good at baking lol. Also i added all of the dry together (your supposed to mix the sugar with the wet. Anyway, i mixed it all together and baked for an hour and viola'! Two yummy loaves of strawberry-banana nut bread! It was moist and yummy, and i took the cream cheese idea from another review to top it. It was delicious! Sunny, i like a lot of your recipes but for some reason i never try them. But after this sucsess, i will definitely start trusting your easy ideas and makinfg them my own!

I have made these many times now, and everyone always loves them.

I am curious about the calorie count. Does anyone know?
