Wow.. this was simply amazing and life savor.I made this as a dessert for my friends, who came for dinner and they loved it too.I added a little more to it. I added icecream on top of the fried apple and then put the caramel syrup. It was TOOO GOOD.

Unbelievable!! Took my daughter and I two tries to master the caramel/peanut butter dip (formed into hard little nuggets cause we didn't have patience to let the brown sugar melt! but well worth the effort. The fritters were just plain fantastic. I ended up adding a couple tablespoons of pancake batter to firm them up and worked great. My whole family wolfed them down...will be my go-to fried desert from now on. Have made them 3 times. Yum!

OMG! I never leave reviews, but I needed to with this one. Great recipe! I needed to make modifications since I didn't have a few of the ingredients.... Used WW flour. And only used pumpkin pie spice with the nutmeg didn't have allspice...for the sauce I actually used 1/2 cup plain keifer and 1/2 cup 2% milk.. I'm guessing the heavy cream would make for a thicker sauce but this worked out just fine. My hubby and my brother in laws gobbled up the platter so fast! I was asked to make more! Great to make when u have so many apples and want to make something other than apple pie or turnovers! Thanks Sunny!

The fritters lacked a bit of flavor, but were still yummy. I added cinnamon and a little extra flour to thicken it up. The sauce was delicious! I would have never thought to put caramel and peanut butter together! I had to modify it cause I didn't have cream or butter at home. I used some wrapped caramels I found in the pantry, peanut butter, and vanilla coffee creamer. Great sauce with stuff on hand.

I saw this recipe this weekend while getting my Food Network fix. I started out making it just like the directions. About a 1/3 the way thru I added cinnamon and raisins to the rest of the batter. After trying them both I liked it with the raisins better. It was all fantastic and this was so easy and everyone loved them. This will become a staple for me!!!!

    Sunny, this is amazing!!!!!!!
The fritters are fabulous. My husband and son just inhaled a double batch!!!
The sauce is great on its own for ice cream, pretzels, or whatever.....

If you like cinnamon, (my crew does, and apples, you can up the quantity of both.

No more store bought fritters for us.
