I made the steak using T bone and KC strip. I used 1/4 cup of red cooking wine in place of the ale, In the marinade. For the prawns I added 1/4 cups of white cooking wine. A fresh garden salad was madde using a home made ranch dressin' Then I grilled it my husband loved it I made it for his birthday dinner today. thanks for help

Loved everything about this dish. Easy to prepare, just had to sub shrimp for prawns. Wonderful flavor and the thing that topped it all off was a very fresh tomatoe, it mixed with the romaine, dressing and meat was excellent.

I skipped the prawns. I made the flank steak which was excellent. Lots of flavors and tender. I used a brown ale. I liked the grilled romaine, but the dressing was a waste: make your own favorite vinaigrette.

This was absolutely the easiest meal we ever prepared for company. I made the marinades and salad dressing early in the morning. An hour before dinner the shrimp went in it's marinade. My husband started grilling, first the romaine, then the meat and lastly the shrimp. I plated it as suggested and it drew rave reviews and even more raves after dinner for the wonderful taste. For 2 days my husband did not stop talking about what a perfect and delicious meal it was. Next time we would skewer the shrimp because they got just a little overdone because my husband couldn't get them all down and turned fast enough. Other than that it was perfect.
