Bland, needs more spice. I used just beef and they didn't hold together very well.

I was surprised that the two hot tamales could make swedish meatballs!!! I was apprehensive to use the recipe, until I had extra meatloaf mix available. I tried a little of each spice in the meat, and to my surprise, it was AWESOME!!!!! The only thing that I did different was to make the meat mixture the day before I fried them, that way the spices could infuse the meat...the result was better than I expected. I was going to try Tyler Florences recipe, but I don't think I need to now since I think this recipe is great enough to serve to company.....too bad the show is not on the air anymore..

My family really liked this recipe. My husband especially loved the sauce. I will definitely make this again.

this has been rated 'easy', although it took quite some time and effort to put together.
final product did not taste very good. the flavor combination was just not very palatable.
i will NEVER cook this again.
i'd rather buy stoffer's than waste my time with this one.
be ware of 'easy'

I buy ready made meatballs and prepare the gravy a day ahead. This allows the meatball to absorb the gravy. It tasted devine.

This is hands down, without a doubt, absolutely the BEST Swedish Meatball recipe EVER! The flavors are perfect, the texture is wonderful, and the preparation couldn't be easier.
I made this recipe a few times for both family and friends and it's always been a huge hit. This recipe is easily doubled and even tripled. If you're looking for a tasty Swedish Meatball recipe that's simple to prepare, this is the recipe for you.
My hat's off to the creators of this recipe. Thank you Mary Sue and Susan for a delicious recipe that has become a staple in my culinary repertoire.

I found this recipe very easy and quite tasty, however, the gravy was a little bland for my taste. I added onion powder, granulated garlic, and dried parsley to the gravy plus freshly ground black pepper and then simmered the meatballs about 10 minutes on low to add more flavor from the meatballs.

Wonderful blend of tastes and smell. I have made this recipe for 4 years now and anytime I visit my family they always request. It is now the showstopper at my Holiday gathering. Even more requested than my chocolate creations.
