I had hopes for this recipe! Sadly, I was dissapointed. It was pretty blah, with no real flavor. It really needs something, like bacon, or veggies or something. The corn didn't add anything good either.

WARNING, THIS RECIPE IS FOR A FAMILY OF 10!! Cut in half for 2-4 people. Good thing it's good, cause we'll be eating it for the next few days. Followed recipe pretty much as called for only substituting sharp cheddar for the mild. Will definitely make again. Thanks!

I made this the very next day (Monday because it looked so good except I made it with a mixed shredded white & yellow cheese as well as whole wheat pasta & it was absolutely delicious! Thanks, Yvan, it was a delicious & inexpensive recipe. Definitely going into my recipe box!

Next time: sharper, more flavorful cheese. Like the suggestions posted here, caramelized onions, half and half in the sauce as possible additions. I might just add some corn. I like the presentation in a skillet - looks great on a buffet table. I'll try this again, and keep tweaking until I get just what I want: a show stopper mac and cheese for parties and adults.

My husband and I love pretty much any mac and cheese recipe we've found and our 1-year-old is like a garbage disposal when it comes to eating. Our real test was our 4-year-old niece who is a picky eater and known for taking 2 bites and being done. That girl cleaned her plate when we made this! Putting it in the rotation for babysitting nights for sure :

This recipe is good, not great. I'd describe it as a mild mac & cheese with a hint of corn. I prefer a sharper cheese flavor. Nevertheless, I was excited by the concept of adding creamed corn, which flavor I love. Unfortunately, the end product was IMHO too cheesey and too bland. Adding hotsauce did not enhance the flavor; it merely added heat. I don't think I'll make this again, but if I did I'd substitute a sharper cheese for the motzarella. By far, Alton Brown's stovetop mac & cheese is my favorite.

Excellent mac n cheese. Next time I cook it though, I think I'll add some caramelized onions instead of the onion powder.

OMG, if this was in my cookbook back in the day. When times were tough because my husband was in an industrial accident and unable to be a steel worker any longer. We had our days of tuna mac cassarole weekly. I fixed this Yvan and WOW what a 5 STAR DISH that could be a side or appatiser on any FINE restraunt menu. We Love you and your family You are a winner no matter what happens
