Made this recipe today..after reading the reviews I added 11/2 tbs spoons of hot sauce, more like 1.4 tsp of nutmeg and a bit more milk to make it creamier. It is great!!

I tried this recipe today. After reading all the reviews and seeing how everyone liked it, I thought it would be good. I was wrong. I followed this recipe exactly. And it was very bland. What a big disappointment!! I will NEVER make this again! There are so many other Mac and Cheese recipes that I've tried that were so much better than this one. This recipe is a HUGE failure!

My wife & I wanted to try this dish after seeing Ivan's pilot. It was easy to make and the cream corn added a texture and flavor that is you do not find in Mac-N-Cheese. It was great. I doubled the recipe as our house is ful of man-n-cheesefanatics and I'm glad I did. My only mistake was the nutmeg. While somewhat skeptical of using it, I'm glad I did. My mistake, I didn't measure and the jar didn't have a shaker lid, so I ended up with a lot more than the recipe called for, so the nutmeg was a little overpowering. My daughter told me after eating it, that it "tasted like christmas in her mouth". Will make again, just with less nutmeg.

Made this tonight and it is tasty! I wasn't sure how the cream corn would work as I had never had it before but I like it.

Absolutely delicious. Made it as a side dish instead of an entree but it could have easily been either. Made it with stuffed pork chops and when I started getting full I couldn't figure out which I would rather finish... Chose the macaroni finally. Yvan rocked this stuff. Only tip, don't try to put it in a 4cup casserole dish like it recommends. I didn't use the recommended amount of pasta or corn and I stilled over filled a 6cup one. Otherwise... amazin!!!!

Great dish to seat with the family and eat while chatting. Easy, tasty and budget friendly. Husband loved it and children clean the plates, those are my judges and the recipe passed with flying colors :

We never would have thought to put sweet corn and mac & cheese together, but after seeing Ivan's pilot on NFNS, we HAD to try it. We're big fans of Justin, but Yvan's food - we just HAD to try it out. We really loved it. Didn't have croutons and were in a hurry, so I just toasted some unseasoned bread - next time, will either season the breadcrumbs or use croutons. Regardless, we really loved this and plan to love it warmed over tomorrow, too! Glad we added the onion powder _and_ the nutmeg. It might have been a bit bland if we hadn't. We might throw in some more onion powder and season it with salt and pepper next time, but the hot sauce was enough to give it some good kick.

I just made this recipe tonight and have to admit I was super excited to try it. I began by following the recipe exactly, with the exception of using sharp cheddar cheese vs. mild, and I am so glad I did. When I finished the macaroni and corn mixture, I tried some prior to putting it in the oven and it was so BLAND. I couldn't believe that even with the sharp cheese it still had absolutely no flavor. I think it was because of the use of mozzarella, which in it's own is a bland cheese not used very often in mac and cheese, and obviously for good reason. I found myself adding a ton of new and extra seasonings just to give it SOME form of flavor. The next time I make this recipe, if I decide to make it again, I will use double the sharp cheddar and no mozzarella.

OMG...when I say this dish as Ivan's pilot dish, my first thought was "Yum" and my second thought was i can't wait to make this. Well I made it for dinner today and it was absolutely fabulous!! I loved the sweetness from the cream corn and the crunchiness from the croutons. I see this easily being a family favorite and can't wait to start putting my own twist on it!! WTG Ivan!! Thanks for the dish and best of luck on Sunday :
