I made this cheesecake to take over my daughters house for Christmas Eve . I followed the receipe and like another reader stated it looks beautiful except it cracked. Does anyone know why this is ? Also the receipe stated to refrigerate overnight should the pan be covered? Other than the crack it looks really good . Can't wait to try it

I make this cheesecake for just about all our gatherings. It is a family favorite. It's delicious and has just enough chocolate so it's not over-the-top sweet. I use chocolate graham crackers for my crust.

This is a great cheesecake but I think 450 is a bit hot for the oven. I noticed that it actually rose a bit and cracked on one side. I'll probably try it again and lower the oven temp or use a water bath and see if that takes care of the problem.

If you're willing to put the time and effort into the cake, it is superb! I followed the recipe to a T, except that I covered the cake in fresh strawberries, blue berries, and raspberries.
It is an impressive cake that is sure to turn head and call for seconds!

The cheesecake was good. You'll never get tired of the taste, i think the sour cream's a big help! ( lemon can also be used People who have tried it really loved it. It really looked like a marble, it's pretty! But i guess i made some mistakes coz mine cracked and the batter did rise. is it suppose to be that way or it should be flat?

I have made numerous cheesecakes and this one by far takes the cake...no pun intended. It turned out wonderfully and tasted just as good as it looked.

Yeah. He seriously said that.
I followed the directions exactly with the exception that I didnt have a springform pan so I used an 8x8 silicone one instead, lining it with foil to pop it out, and that I used chocolate teddy graham crumbs instead of the chocolate cookie crumbs. There wasnt enough crust for the pan, even if I spread it thinly, so next time I'll either nix it entirely or make more. Mine cracked like crazy though which made it look slightly not as good. If I could only get that under control, it would be the perfect cheesecake!

The overall outcome of the cheescake was good. It was a little messy trying to mix both of the flavors though.
