I was really craving a good brownie so I was disappointed when my brownie turned out cake-like and not much like a brownie.
The bottom layer turned out VERY cake-like. I would suggest that you are better off not adding the chocolate and using the recipe as a cake base because it is very light and airy.
Even though cook times vary greatly, I took my brownies out five minutes early and they were completely done. This could account for the cake-like consistency---so check early and often!

My husband and son loved these brownies!!! Unfortunately, our first taste was 1/2 hour after they came out of the oven and it was a mess! Next time I will definitely let them cool in the freezer first as much as I hate to wait that long, but it does make the cutting and eating MUCH easier. It is an awesome recipe though!
