These are amazing! The recipe appears much more complicated than it is. They were easy to make and are super moist. The frosting is much sweeter than I expected but it pairs perfectly with the milder cake. I have tried other recipes from Sugar Bakery and I have to say they are wonderful!

Made these for my friends and everyone loved them. When I was making the apple cider caramel reduction I noticed it took a lot longer to go from 4 cups to 1 1/2. The cupcakes are very moist and dense, less of a cake-like texture for me and not overly sweet or rich, it pairs nicely with the frosting which is on the sweeter side. The frosting seemed to have a lot more butter than I expected, I might try cutting down on that in future recipes.
