Thanks to the previous comments on how runny it was I added 2 tablespoon cornmeal and flour, 1 and half sticks butter, cut the sugar to 1&1/2 cups and used 4 egg yolks and used regular pie crust. Served with ice cream. Butter Pecan yummy

This is a very tasty chess pie! I took the advice of the previous reviews and halved this recipe since most said it's enough for 2 pies. I also detest the smell of raw eggs & detest eggy tasting food even more so I used Ener-G Egg Replacer. It came out of the oven set. I think all of those nasty stinky eggs made it runny for the other people who complained. It was delicious & I WILL make again using egg replacer.

Just made it. I would cut down on the amount of crust, I did not put as much lemon in it as it called for, therefore very sweet but very good!! You do have to take your time making this recipe in order for it to turn out correctly.

As its been mentioned had enough dough for 2 pies so made 2 pies had enough mixture also, cooked 45 mins as stated and they set up perfectly, not sure what it was suppose to taste like but tasted like lemon pie but brown like pecan pie, don't know if I'd make again, guess just wanted to see if I could

This is by far the worst tasting pie ever. It taste nothing like tea. Very running and awfully sweet. Like eating sugar syrup but yellow. Crust was way too much enough for 2 pies. Something is terribly wrong with this recipe. I wouldn't recommend anyone trying it!!!!!

The crust made enough dough for 2 pies. the crust was ok but the filling was the worst ever. it was runny and an odd color. it tasted like sugar goop with a strange egg crust on top. BAD BAD BAD.
