This is the best peach cobbler ever!! I always use frozen peach slices because I can always have them on hand.

This was delicious and very easy to prepare, it turned out perfect the first time I tried it using the exact amounts of all ingredients. HINT: DO NOT pile dough too thickly on top, I globbed on piles up to two inches thick and the dish took 60 minutes to cook through. Even with this mistake, I just covered the top with tin foil when it was golden brown to keep the top from burning while the dough cooked through and it turned out great. Foolproof!

I made this cobbler twice (in a week using fresh picked peaches in Oregon while visiting family.(I'm from Texas I had wonderful responses on the cobbler. The recipe was easy to follow and required most ingredients that true bakers should have on-hand. My 5 year old daughter loved this recipe and enjoyed helping out also. The only thing extra I added was a little extra sugar. Excellent with vanilla ice cream while fresh and hot out of the oven. A nice treat for any day of the week!

The recipe has ingredients listed, but the instructions do not tell you what to do with some of them. I was halfway through making the recipe when I realized this. Be careful.

My wife and I made this and it was great. Only changes we made were that instead of the heavy cream, we used 3/4 cup of regular whipping cream and 1/4 cup of sour cream. I would say we did it to cut the fat and calories, but that would be stretching the truth a bit. We really did it because we realized we didn't have heavy cream until it was too late and had to use something. Actually turned out great and we really liked it that way. Next time we make it, we will use more peaches. Nothing wrong with the recipe, just when using fresh peaches the measurements are not quite as exact. This recipe is in the keeper pile for us! BTW - we are from Georgia, so we know good cobbler when we taste it LOL.

I actually used only the topping portion of this recipe for the summer berry cobbler recipe of Tyler Florence's that calls for a blueberry scone topping - this topping was WONDERFUL! Very tender, sweet, soft...just perfect!

I made this recipe last night for my pregnant wife because she loves peach cobbler. The only thing that I changed is I added more sugar to the peaches and let them sit so they get nice and juicy. Great topping though!! YUM
