What an EASY pie to throw together in a pinch, made this for my boss and she and our coworkers totally LOVED it!!! I used fresh blackberries and added a little sugar to them before mixing with the jam. Winner Winner!

Not much of a taste. It sat up just fine after being in the fridge all night. But not worth the price of fresh blackberries.

Superb!!! I used sugar-free jam and fat free Cool Whip. Let it set overnight before serving and was perfect for slicing! Must allow time for ingredients to get to know each other!!! Thanks for this quick and not too expensive dessert.

I made this pie for my sister's BBQ and it was a big hit. Great summer dessert. The filling was a little runnie but people did not mind. Great taste and so easy to make!

No thickening agent in the recipe. The mashed blackberries are runnie. It didn't appear that way on the TV program. I decided
to mix a 2-3 teaspoons of Knox gelatin with 2-3 Tab. warm water and stir until it desolves then added it to the mashed berries. I also added the the zest of a sm. lemon to the berrys; it taste better now but not thick enough so I will add more geletin tonight and I hope the blackberries will will be thicker for our church potluck tomorrow.

Amazing, I live in California so our blackberries are NOT that great...I love the idea of the Jam to bring out the taste. I would not need to use the Jam if I make it in Oregon because they have the best blackberries which are huge and VERY sweet.

Amazing and sooooo easy !!! We love this pie with fresh Blackberries,...but... we use a homemade whipped- cream topping : 3/4 Heavy cream, mixed with 4 oz. Cream cheese- softened, 1 1/2 teaspoons sugar and 1 teaspoon Good Vanilla extract. ( like Madagascar

Combine liquids and sugar first, with a Whisk to blend completely, and mash in the softened cream cheese with a fork...then Blend up with an Electric Mixer until it forms soft to medium peaks !! YUMMY -OH MY !!
... and this Whipped cream has some more "body" to it and TRAVELS GREAT too for all those family BBQ's !! We love the Deen Family recipes !! See you in Savannah - next trip y'all !

I'm in the process of making this recipe. After reading over the recipe I thought it could used something else to make it stick together better. So I made cheesecake flavored pudding. I'm going to put that on the crust first, followed by the berries, and whipped topping. The berries are runny, I'm hoping to drain them a little before I put the pie together. The way I'm doing it isn't the "10 minute" way but I think it may address some of the issues that the recipe has.

I actually did this recipe upside down. I mixed the berries (whole with blackberry preserve, put it in individual dishes, then topped with crumbled graham cracker crumbs (mixed with some melted butterand added a dollop of whipped cream.
