I made these about 2 weeks ago to take to work, the only thing I did differently was I used almond extract instead of vanilla. The girls at work are still talking about them! They requested I bring more in soon!!!
This is the easiest biscotti I have ever made.

I just tried this recipe this morning but left out the almonds. Instead of 3 tbsp of vanilla, I added 1 tbsp vanilla and 2 tbsp anisette. Just for a little zip, I also added a pinch of cloves. My husband loves them - we won't be buying Stella Dora any longer!

P.S. The next batch, I'm adding cocoa!

This is one of the best cookies that's ever come out of my kitchen, and I do a lot of baking. Outstanding flavor. When I saw 3 Tablespoons vanilla, I wondered if it could be a 'typo', but with the reviews figured if there was a problem, it would have shown up there. I made these for our church's coffee hour. They're lucky any made it there. Easy to make, and excellent flavor. Cookies just don't get any better than this. (to make slicing the whole almonds cookies easier, I use my electric knife.

Everyone says this is the best biscotti they've ever tried! I've made these twice and added semi-sweet chocolate chips and they came out perfect.
