I prepared this recipe with shrimp added, and it became a whole meal in one pot. It was tasty and delicious and has so much flavor. Try it for an unusual and yummy treat that your whole family should love.

Everyone I've given this to who doesn't like black eyed peas loves this recipe. It's great to take to picnics and what not and everyone will want the recipe!

To quote my yound adult son, "This is the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted." We fed it to the dogs. There was way too much water and rice called for. The dogs, however, enjoyed it.

I am stuck with a big pot of this recipe. I hate it and have no idea how to make it more palatable. I am throwing this recipe in the trash. Would not recommend this recipe to anyone!

I liked it. My wife and kids didn't.
