Great Recipe! I like to add a variety of extra cheeses such as monterey jack and blends such as casserole cheese and extra cayenne pepper because I love the spice.

This is the best mac and cheese recipe on this site (and I've unsuccessfully tried quite a few;. I double it and don't bother with the bread crumbs and paprika. I use an extra cheese layer on the top like a lot of others. You can't go wrong with this one. My family absolutely loves it!

People love it every time I make it. I had a girl say she would never eat any other kind of mac and cheese again. THIS IS NOT A CREAMY MAC AND CHEESE RECIPE. It is a delicious baked Mac and cheese. I normally use about one and a half cups of Cheddar and one and a half cups of Velveeta. I also like to use fun pasta shapes - like Radiatore or Trumpet. A Recipe

I just had someone tell me they want this mac n cheese for Christmas this year!! (after having it at one of my parties It's my fav recipe that I have found for the homemade stuff. I always use Panko breadcrumbs and it's awesome!! The cayenne gives it a nice background heat as well, not too much.

Each time I make this dish, I get tons of compliments. Although, instead of using just Cheddar cheese, I use Velveeta and Colby cheese,as well. I don't use all of the bread crumb mixture, though, because I think the amount in the recipe is too much.

Looks delish. But does anyone know if the type of bread crumbs that you use matter?

This is absolutely the best macaroni and cheese recipe ever! I have been making it for several years now and this is one of my most requested dishes by family and friends. That kick of cayenne really makes it!
