I remember baking this cake in the 90's for my son whose birthday is on Valentines day. One of his teachers at the time was an excellent baker and had a calendar with chocolate recipes. I "photo-copied" the January page to get this recipe. Since my copy is old and stained, I decided to find it on the internet! Well, I was able to find each stage separately on your web site, also the assembly page! I look forward to baking it this year! I'm glad you had it!

This is by far the best chocalate cake I have ever eaten. I made this cake for my daughter's birthday and from that day on I am always asked to make it. It takes a bit of work so I leave it for special occasions, like when someone need a chocolate fix. Don't be put off by all the recipes. Just try it and I'm sure you will come out with an excellent cake.

I made this for a Mothers Day party for my wife and some friends. They loved it. The presentation is perfect! The recipe is easy to follow but is difficult enough to deem it a "Special Occasion only" recipe..
One negative thing is there was a lot of waste with every recipe except the brownie. It was exactly what was needed.. all of the other recipes made more than was needed. They could be scaled back.

When my Son's Wife asked for this cake for her birthday, I had my doughts when I saw the recipe. I'm not a big chocolate lover. After Making these 6 recipes, combining them and serving them, I wasn't disappointed. It was a hit with my Son's wife and it turned me into a chocolate lover.

This recipe does exactly what its title says except that it sends you to heaven. All 6 of the combined recipes were easy to follow and turned out great the first time making them. This cake is the best chocolate cake I've had in my life and well worth the time, effort and cost to make it.(It took quite a bit of each The different flavours and presentations of chocolate throughout this cake fufill every chocolate craving and everybody who ate it loved it! The finished cake weighs a ton and is so rich that you only need a small slice to satisfy any sweet or chocolate craving.
