Easy Recipe! I made these for Thanksgiving and they came out perfect. Very easy to make. I can't wait to make them again for Christmas. I used 1 stick of butter and added a splash of vanilla.

Easiest sweet potatoes and they taste great! I add some pumpkin pie spice just to add another layer of flavor.

So simple, even my fiance can make it; so tasty, it's *requested* for Thanksgiving, by our families! We use about a 1/3 the sugar, though. :b
The yams are sweet and slightly citrusy on their own; this recipe brings out their yammy goodness.

This is the sweet potato recipe I make for thanksgiving, but at 3lbs sweets I add 1/2 cup each sugars, 1 stick butter and do add salt and pepper, about 1/2 tsp each, I need a little spice, but it is very good anyway. I try not to open the pot too much to test if the sweets are done, but it took a bit longer with 2" inch chunks, about 40 minutes. Thank you.

Is it bad to say I'm shocked this method worked? Well it not only worked, it worked incredibly well! I used 1 stick of butter (vs 2. And just because I prefer them this way for Thanksgiving, I mashed the yams, placed them in a casserole dish, topped with marshmallows and toasted them. YUM!

Love this recipe! I used one stick of butter and used Splenda brown sugar. I placed all ingredients in a casserole dish and cooked them on 400 degrees for about 30 minutes. They were delicious! My new "go to" recipe for perfect candied yams!

I really didn't think I liked sweet potatoes until my aunt and also my cousin made them. They used this recipe and now I love them! I made them for Christmas dinner and they were so delicious and everybody raved about how great everything was and that the sweet potatoes were the very best!

This was an excellent recipe! My kids who do not eat candied yams devoured it. What a simple recipe. I like not having to boil the potatoes before baking the dish. I did, however, modified the recipe by adding 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon, 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg, the juice from 1 navel orange, and reducing the margarine to one stick. This will be my new recipe for candied yams!
