Although the texture was good it was too sweet for my likings. I suggest reducing the sugar to 1 cup per batch.
(PS:I added cinnamon 1t and 1/2 cup raisins

I used only 1 cup sugar, 4 oz. butter and 10 peices of texas toast instead of 7 since I like my bread pudding a little thicker. This recipe is so easy and so very good. I also added some golden raisins. This is a definite keeper!!!!

This delicious receipe took me back to my childhood days with my grandmother. The idea of using the Texas Toast was awesome!

I used a 1/2 cup of brown sugar with 1 cup of regular sugar, instead of The original mix called for 1 1/2 cups of sugar and that was it! This was too much of the same substrate for my liking so I tweaked it a little.

    Enjoy

Made this for a friend who was looking for a recipe that matched one of her favorite little bistros. Texas Toast gives it a heartier texture. Easily tweaked for personal preferences.

Out of many recipes I have tried, this one is by far the most simplist, and the tastiest.

I mainly use recipes for contents and creat my own design. Used crusty french bread and left butter out. Cooked until crust was firm and pudding was moist. Very tasty, would change sugar to one cup, as recipe is very sweet.

I really enjoy bread pudding and have been looking for a simple and delicious recipe for a long time. This sounded easy enough, so I tried it. It was delicious! The proportions in the recipe worked just fine. I used leftover French bread and golden raisins, and it was wonderful. I'm making it again tonight. It doesn't last in my house!

Okay to scale back on the sugar and butter. Used french bread sliced thickly. Completely satisfied my comfort food craving.
