My original plan was to just buy some thousand island dressing for this sandwich but after reading others reviews about how good the dressing was, I decided to go for it. I am SO glad I did. This dressing is amazing. It is well worth the little effort it takes to make it. This is the best dressing I have ever had for a corned beef sandwich. I could eat it from the bowl, it's that good! What a yummy sandwich!

Excellent dressing! I am making again today to go with my yummy beer braised corned beef, kraut and homemade New York Style Jewish Rye which I do put caraway seeds in because we prefer them. My husband could eat this everyday if I would let him lol. : Without a doubt this is the best dressing for corned beef I have ever made or had out! You will be hooked!

The Russian Dressing was quite simply AMAZING! Once you have tried this recipe, you will not want to use bottled dressing ever again.

DO NOT CHANGE ANYTHING!! I made these for a Christmas Eve supper for six, from the recipe as written. Around the table, you could hear only "mmmm" and "ahhhh." I love a Reuben Sandwich--it's a standard I use to evaluate a deli restaurant--and these were as good as or better than any establishment can offer. I beg you, do not use store-bought Russian Dressing, because this one is TO DIE FOR. It is worth every chop and dice and measure. In fact, I have some leftover dressing reserved for a wedge salad that I'll make in a couple of days. Use quality rye bread also--worth every penny. I can't rave enough about these fantastic sandwiches. Till next time...!

This Reuben is without a doubt one kick a## sandwich! Followed recipe to a tee and from the thick hand sliced Rye, to the homemade dressing. My guests were blown away. Zingerman's rules!

Totally awesomw....but.....I changed the dressing a little. I only used 1/2 cup mayo added 1/4 cup more sour cream....both of which were Lite. I also added about 6 geen olives, chopped. I also added about 1 teaspoon of sweet pickles diceed. I guess this was sort of a combo Russian/Thousand Island....anyway....greaaat!!

I have to say I have had a Reuben or two in my life. This was truly one of the best and I made it!! As a suggestion, If you're going to make this do it the right way. Buy your ingredients fresh and straight from your local deli. My deli always gives me a little side of Russian dressing, but now I can finally make my own!! Thank you!

I admit...I used pre-sliced rye bread. But, the sandwich was great. I made homemade corned beef using Alton Brown's recipe. You'll never use store bought again once you make your own. The dressing was great as well. I used a George Foreman grill to brown the sandwiches to perfection. You won't be disappointed.
