I prepared this for a family dinner. Everyone seemed to enjoy it. It was a great change form a tyoical stuffing or starchy side dish. The only thing I would mention is that cooking the onions takes longer than I imagined, worth it, but it does take awhile.

This dish is great when you are looking for something different than the usual side dish. Everyone at Christmas dinner was impressed-even those who aren't really "in to" food!

A big hit with my guests. I used half and half and turned out fine.

I've made this for every holiday I've hosted, and even a few dinner parties. People who normally say they don't like onion soup LOVE this. I usually cook it a bit longer than directed so it's firmer in the center, but the taste can't be beat. The leftovers are spectacular, if there are any. Print this. Make this. Keep this!

This makes a wonderful dish along with a green leafy salad....scrumptious.
It was fun to make, too.

I wasn't quite sure what to expect when I tried this recipie, but to say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. This has become more of a staple than a special treat, as with a few minor adjustments it fits quite well into a carb-watcher's lifestyle. A must-try for comfort food lovers.

We all enjoyed this very much, easy to make and a nice change from the normal sides we eat. Rice, potatoes and green veggies. This made a difference with dinner.
